Youth of the Year Award |

Youth must be nominated by someone other than a family member or zone director. Once nominated, an information form will be sent to the youth for completion and submittal. This award will be based on:

4-H leaders, rabbit leader, fellow exhibitor, judge, etc should nominate the youth in a letter. The youth cannot be nominated by a zone director or family member. Nomination must be in writing, either by letter or e-mail, stating who is being nominated and who is making the nomination. Once the youth has been nominated and the committee receives the letter, an application will be sent out for the youth to complete. The youth MUST complete the application and return it to the committee to be considered for this award. The committee will then approve one (1) youth per zone for the Youth of the Year award and inform their respective zone directors. You can only receive this award once every 3 years. The committee will approve and purchase the awards. Presentation of the award is at the discretion of the zone director, but it is preferred that a formal presentation be made at a local rabbit show or event. As much recognition will be given the youth winner as possible. Nomination letters are to be sent to:
